Recidivism Data Import, Cleanup, Collection, Analysis, and Reporting for Northern Nevada DUI Task Force
NNDTF - The Northern Nevada DUI Task Force had been collecting attendance data for victim impact panels for over a decade, with minimal reporting capabilities. Nerdy Dragon helped transform their variety of spreadsheets into a web application that reports on attendance, recidivism, age, and other factors. They now manage their monthly data collection over the web, and have real-time reporting of their data. Check it out at: www.nndtf.org/vip/recidivism.
There was a bit more too it, than just putting the spreadsheets into a database and then putting some reporting and graphing software together. The names were in all sorts of formats throughout the spreadsheets, some names had some errors in their spelling, others transposition. We had to intelligently match the names listed in the spreadsheet, using the levenshtein distance and other metrics.
We ended up with an accurate data set to provide statistical reporting on, thereby leverage the data that the task force had been collecting for over a decade to understand and influence their actions.
Product Data Acquisition and Management for Security Hardware Store
Security Hardware Store - They already had an e-commerce website, however they needed to enhance the design to improve their conversion rate, and to be able to make changes in an ongoing fashion.
We've done, and continue to do many things for Security Hardware Store. We extract product data from the manufacturer websites of the products that they carry, and we import that data into a custom proofing system where the product data is personally vetted, images selected, and automated seo enhancements are made to the data.
Once the data is approved, with the click of a button, the new product data is automatically added to the website. The page is automatically seo friendly.
Also, the product information is autmatically included in the Google Base feed that is sent to google for inclusion in product search results.

Utah Sports Action - An entrepreneur came to us with an idea for a media site that combined sportswriters, photographers, videographers, fans, athletes, and others to deliver Utah's Source for High School Sports.
From multiple user roles, to the presence of Athletes, Teams, Schools, Games, Scores, Stats, News, Photos, and Highlights; Utah Sports Action is a feature and information rich media site.
Downloadable digital, high-resolution photo sales are available, integrated with Amazon S3 cloud storage service to cost-effectively, securely, and robustly deliver the content to consumers.
In addition to digital e-commerce, the site has the ability to take football game scores and stats, and to automatically calculate the regional and conference standings. Stats are cumulatively totaled and tracked, the game information is tied to products, teams, athletes, photos, and highlights, so that you can easily find all media related to a particular athlete, team, school, or sport.
The site is still evolving, as we turn our attention to enhanced design and advanced usability features. The future is bright for Utah Sports Action, and Nerdy Dragon is proud to be assisting.

Bot Brothers - Started with a simple vision; to simplify fundraising and communication for volunteers. Let's face it, coaches, band directors, and others are burdened with raising enough funds for their program to operate. Generally, it involves selling something, sending kids out, and only keeping a small portion of the money that is brought in.
Bot Brothers has simplified this process, allowing these programs to take straight donations, and communicate via email.
